     Why I started InsideBeninCity

I created InsideBeninCity to be the premier guide for tourists and visitors exploring Benin City, providing top-quality information to make their experience smooth and memorable.

More than just a travel guide, InsideBeninCity is a one-stop hub designed to simplify your search for anything Benin City-related.

We are set up on the concept that you should be able to experience Benin City from anywhere in the world—with just one click!

Education

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Ilorin.

But perhaps my deepest education came from the classroom of life, where I discovered my inner strength and found my true passion for serving others.

InsideBeninCity was born from my deep love for organizing and simplifying things. I saw a need for a reliable, insider’s guide—and that’s how this journey began!"

The task is definitely enormous but surely doable!

My Background

My work journey has taken me through various roles—classroom teacher, school head, research assistant, and quality control personnel. Each experience has shaped me in unique ways.

Skills

I acquired skills in media and journalism and later trained in copywriting.

Little did I know, all of these were preparing me for what would become the InsideBeninCity project.

Personality Trait

Perhaps my most outstanding personality trait is also one of my greatest weaknesses.

I never truly noticed it until my employers and those I served pointed it out.

One of my former employers, nine years after I had left, sent me this message:

"I have not found anyone like you since you left."

A former student once wrote to me:

"Sir, you didn’t just teach me Biology—you entered my heart."

And these are just two of many similar messages I have received over the years.

Honestly, I’m always surprised when I get such feedback. I simply give my absolute best to whatever is entrusted to me—whether a job, a responsibility, or a cause I believe in. If I don’t, I feel unsettled, almost unwell.

That’s the weakness I mean.

But if it’s a weakness, then it’s also my greatest strength. And I can assure you, it’s an advantage here at InsideBeninCity—because I’m still that same person, only better with time.

Family

I'm married to Gloria Ebi and the union is blessed with four terrific kids.

Benin City is more than just a place I live—it's home. From my education to my career, marriage, and raising a family, this city has been the backdrop of my life.

I have lived inside Benin City for over eighteen active years.

Hobby

When I’m not working, you’ll likely catch me reading, writing, or traveling. Interestingly, InsideBeninCity is all about travel and exploration.

In a way, my passion and my work are one and the same—so every day is a great experience. That’s what makes serving you such a joy!

As long as I love what I do (and I do!), I’ll be here—helping you with just about everything Benin City in the best way possible.
